I am a wife to a great husband and a mother to 8 great kidz! We are a christian homeschooling family! A little different then most. I married my wonderful husband on August 18th 2001, I already had my first blessing(Destiney) prior to our marriage. I was 16 when Destiney was born. After we married my husband John adopted Destiney! Since then we have had 7 more blessings making 8! We have put our trust in the Lord and will have as many blessings as He blesses us with!

mommy time?
So what happens at a house with 8 children when mom gives herself a pedicure? Well the picture explains it all! The truth is I don't get time alone, so I have to do what I can :) My 4 youngest were so amazed as I soaked my feet. They loved smelling the tub of hot water, it smelled like mint. Some day when all of my children are grown I'm sure I will be pampering myself in the quiet & wish they were at my feet again! So instead of getting angry I thought I would take a picture & enjoy!

Finally Back!
It has been awhile since I have posted! Guess I have been busy with my family of 10! :) Our children continue to grow up so quickly! Since the last post (many months ago) I have started driving a school bus on top of being mom to 8 & homeschooling. It has been a change for all of us but its working out well. Destiney is 13 & great with the kids so she sits in the afternoon for 2 1/2 hours. We pay her so that makes her a happy girl! I'm just forever THANKFUL for my blessings, God has blessed John & I more then we deserve!

I copy & pasted our Big Buddy Duties sheet so I could share with anyone interested!
Big Buddy Duties
Teach your Little Buddy to do chores by having them help you with your chores
Put your Little Buddy’s laundry away
Play with your Little Buddy
Help your Little Buddy with anything they need help with
Read to your Little Buddy
Get your Little Buddy up in the morning and:
Help your Little Buddy get dressed for the day.
Take Little Buddy to toilet.
Brush your teeth/hair together (after breakfast).
When we leave the house:
Help your Little Buddy with socks, shoes & jacket.
Get Buddy buckled in van.
Keep an eye on your Little Buddy and/or hold hands (whatever mom says).
Help your Little Buddy get food at outings.
Get your Little Buddy ready for bed:
Diaper.
Pjs.
Brush teeth.
Bonuses for the Big Buddy:
The Big Buddy gets to finish the food of the Little Buddy when the Little Buddy gets full (desserts, treats, etc.).
The Big Buddy gets to help Little Buddy on Little Buddy’s special day.
The Little Buddy:
The Little Buddy must obey the Big Buddy because Dad & Mom have set the Big Buddy as an authority over the Little Buddy. However, the Big Buddy must be kind & gentle in helping the Little Buddy with his/her needs. If the Little Buddy is throwing a fit or not cooperating, the Big Buddy must get Mom or Dad to discipline the Little Buddy.

Celebrating the Sabbath
This school year as we study the Old Testament with our My Father's World curriculum, Creation to the Greeks we will be celebrating 7 biblical feasts. The first we have & are doing is the Sabbath. This has helped me as well as our children to get a glimpse of how Jews such as Jesus lived. My favorite part at our Sabbath dinner was when John placed his hands on each of our 8 children & blessed them, he prayed for each one. Then he blessed me & quoted from Proverbs 31:10, 27-30. I think this year of learning & experience is going to be one we all remember!
